1. About us & these terms

This website and platform (the “Platform”) operates under the brand The Developer School and is owned and operated by Govind Kumawat as an individual (an unregistered business), based at 14 Balanand Ji Ka Rasta, Chandpole Bazar, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302001, India (referred to as “we”, “our” or “us”).

By accessing, registering for, or using the Platform — or by making a payment to us — you (“you”, “user”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy and Delivery Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. What we offer

The Developer School is an online education and career-readiness platform for developers. Our services include:

• Skill tests & MCQ practice across multiple technologies.
• ATS resume checker — an automated/AI-assisted analysis of your resume with a score, signals and improvement suggestions.
• Learning hub with guided content and mock interviews.
• Verified certificates for passed tests and a Developer Score that summarises your demonstrated ability.
• Pro subscription — a paid plan that unlocks adaptive tests, the full ATS report and unlimited practice attempts.
• Voluntary donations to support the Platform.

3. Eligibility & your account

• You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
• You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts to abuse free limits, promotions or assessments.

4. Pricing, Pro subscriptions & payments

• Core features (such as basic skill tests and a basic ATS score) are free. Premium features require a paid Pro subscription, with prices shown on our Pricing page in Indian Rupees (₹) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Payments are processed securely through our authorised payment gateway, Razorpay. We do not collect or store your full card, UPI or bank credentials on our servers.
• Pro is offered on a fixed-period basis (e.g. monthly). We do not auto-charge or auto-renew your subscription — you choose to renew or extend manually. Access remains active until the end of the period you paid for.
• We may revise pricing or plan features from time to time; changes apply to future purchases and renewals, not to a period you have already paid for.
• A successful payment grants access to the corresponding digital features for the purchased period. Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

5. Tests, ATS, certificates & the Developer Score

• ATS scores, resume suggestions and AI-generated feedback are provided for guidance and educational purposes only. They are estimates and do not guarantee interviews, shortlisting or employment.
• Test results, certificates and the Developer Score reflect your performance on our Platform and are not a guarantee of any outcome with any employer or third party.
• You must attempt assessments honestly. Cheating, automating attempts, or misrepresenting results may lead to invalidation of results, certificates or your account.
• Certificates remain valid subject to these terms; we may revoke a certificate obtained through fraud or violation of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Platform lawfully and not to:

• Upload false, misleading, unlawful, infringing, offensive or harmful content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data.
• Upload malware or interfere with the operation or security of the Platform.
• Scrape, copy or resell our content, tests or reports without written permission.
• Use bots or automated means to abuse assessments, free limits or payments.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Platform — including tests, question banks, the ATS engine, reports, course material, text, graphics, logos and software — is owned by or licensed to The Developer School and is protected by applicable laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Platform for your own learning and career development. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

8. Your content

• You retain ownership of resumes and other content you upload.
• You grant us a limited licence to process and analyse your content solely to provide the service (for example, to generate your ATS report).
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you submit.

9. Third-party services

The Platform relies on trusted third parties — including Razorpay (payments), Google reCAPTCHA (abuse prevention) and AI/analysis providers used by the ATS checker. Your use of those features is also subject to the respective providers’ terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services linked from our Platform.

10. Donations

Donations made through the Platform are voluntary contributions to support our work. Unless required by law, donations are non-refundable. Donations do not purchase any product, service or Pro benefit.

11. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Developer School shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or any career, hiring or income outcome arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service in the preceding period.

12. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud or abuse, or threaten the security or integrity of the Platform. You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
