Introduction

This website and platform operates under the brand The Developer School and is owned and operated by Govind Kumawat as an individual (an unregistered business) ("we", "our", "us"). We provide an online education and career-readiness platform offering skill tests and MCQ practice, an AI-assisted ATS resume checker, a learning hub, verified certificates, a Developer Score and paid Pro subscriptions.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Platform you agree to this policy.

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mobile number (if provided)
  • Profile and preference details
  • Location / city (if provided)
Learning & resume data
  • Resume / CV you upload for ATS analysis
  • Skills detected and test answers

Payment information

Payments for Pro subscriptions and donations are processed by our authorised payment gateway, Razorpay. When you pay, your card, UPI, net-banking or wallet details are collected and processed directly by Razorpay on their secure, PCI-DSS-compliant systems.

We do not collect or store your full card numbers, CVV, UPI PIN or bank credentials on our servers. We only retain limited transaction records — such as a payment/order reference, plan, amount and status — to confirm your subscription, provide receipts and support, and meet legal and accounting obligations.

How we use your information

Provide the service

Run your tests, generate your ATS report, issue certificates, calculate your Developer Score and manage your account.

Process payments

Activate and manage Pro subscriptions, send receipts, and handle refunds or billing queries.

Improve & secure

Improve performance and features, prevent fraud and abuse, and communicate important updates.

Information sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these situations:

  • With service providers who help us operate — for example Razorpay (payments), email/hosting providers, Google reCAPTCHA and the AI/analysis service used by the ATS checker — strictly to perform services for us.
  • When required by law, legal process, or a valid request from government or regulatory authorities.
  • To detect, prevent or address fraud, abuse or security issues.
  • With your consent, or as needed to provide a feature you request.

Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in and maintain your session.
  • Remember your preferences and settings (such as theme).
  • Understand usage and improve the Platform.
  • Protect against abuse and unauthorised access.

Data security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls — to protect your information. Card and payment data is handled by Razorpay on PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we work continuously to safeguard your data.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time, subject to records we must retain by law.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Update or correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Ask how your data is processed or raise a concern.

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above, or for use under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate consent.

Third-party links

Our Platform may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies before sharing information.
